What Google should do in East asia.

Although Google's search engine's quality is better than others, the usage rate in Asia specially Korea, China, and Japan is not so good.
Do you know why?
Already many persons know why Google could not get success in East Asia.
There is "Localization".

When I search a word "태풍" (Typhoon), Google's answer and Naver(Korean Best search engine) are different.
Google shows me the meaning of it but Naver shows me recent Korean movie "태풍".

One another, when I search a word "功夫", although recently changed a little bit, Google's former resutls are that Gongfu is the traditional martial....etc.
Baide's answers was about movie "功夫".

Why are the answers different?
Google's technology is not better than others?

Definitly NO.

I think Google's localization strategy is not so fitable for East asia.
Naver,Yahoo Japan and Baidu are local companys so always they are making on effort to show clients more time and trend fitable information. But Google doesn't have that kinds of strategy so hard to competing them.

Then, East asia market is not attractive?

Absolutly YES.

China is the biggest potential market in the future.
Japan is the 2nd GDP country in the world.
Korea is the one of the biggest internet test market.

Although Google is the biggest company in the world, it is so hard to be no. 1 in East asia market without M&A. The company size of East asia country's search engine is not bigger than Google. however they have their own knowhow and clients' robust supportings make Google hard to advance to those countries' market.

I think Google have serveral choices in East asia market.

1. M&A with them.
2. M&A with compititors of them, and follow their strategies similiarly.
3. Localize the results of search engine in East asia. (categolization is inevitable)

Surely it is not perfect answer of advancing to East asia. However that would be clues of coming to East asia.
