Nowadays I read a book "The importance of detail in management company".
During managing my company, I felt the importance of detail but I could not make it systematically. However after I read it, I could do it.
I am good at internet business because I do my business in internet industry.
In this industry, there are so many sorts of business models.
However some models have a lot of similar competitors.
There are so many blog websites and so many auction websites.
But all the time winner is only one though their biz model is almost similar.
Why? What's difference between winner and loser?
The answer is "Detail".
A company always consider client's small requests and make an effort to solve it.
Others ignore it and pursue big project (ex: making cooperation with big portal and making M&A deal)
But big portals are not their client (except b2b models).
General netizens are their clients and target. If forget it, Not be able to win this survival game.
In 80th, the core success factor of Japanese products is detail.
Although Japan has gotten suffered from economic bubble, its products still have the one of the best quality and alway give clients happiness for quality.
Web business has same principle.
Small differences make big results like butterfly effect.
Netizens are so lazy and they don't want to click more times and would like to see simple and core briefs for the information which they are searching.
All the time they prepare to move other websites which provide them more conveniences and better services so it is hard to keep them in my website.
That is the reason 'Detail' is so important. Specially in saturated industries.
We should not forget it.
Company are bigger than before and competition is getting more intensively, then don't forget it. Exchange my position into clients of my website and think of requests and problems.
Surely we will figure out good ways to be a winner in our industry
