How can I manage foreign people?

For almost one and half years, I've managed foreign people. Specially chinese people in Beijing and Taipei.
I was so afraid of managing them at first.
Surely I am Korean so I was not good at chinese. so I didn't have confidence in me.
I treat them just like friends because I didn't know their culture and I made an effort to act like normal Chinese person.
Consequently most my man are my friend and I can trust them.
When I work together, so interesting and we can share the vision of our company.

Some people tell me. If I go to foreign country, then I should forget all the rules of my Korean mind.
In some aspect, it is right but in the other side it is wrong.
I need so much time to understand all kinds of foreign country's culture.
I can not be easily Chinese people or other country's people without much time and my efforts.
So I should act like Korean but if I am always ready to accept foreign cultures, then I would be friend of them.
Management is similar to it.
Although I manage my company in foreign country, if I prepair to accept cultural differences and try to understand them, then it is ok.
I think that my sincerity is the success licence of my management.
